About the Position

The Contracts Coordinator will serve as the connective tissue for legal administration, blending contract administration excellence with project coordination expertise. This role will not only support legal operations but also ensure our legal workflow is efficient and effective for farmer and partner successes.

Your Daily Focus:

  • Contract Administration: You will work with our legal counsel to develop templates and use these to draft and revise contracts, ensuring compliance with both our high standards and legal musts. You’ll also maintain our contract management system.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the nexus between project managers, accounting, clients, partners, and legal teams, adeptly addressing inquiries and smoothing out contractual creases.

  • Monitoring Deadlines and Milestones: You'll keep a vigilant eye on contract milestones, ensuring everyone is alerted to key dates and actions, like reporting and financial deadlines, coordinating signatures and distribution with precision.

  • Administrative Excellence: You'll bring order and foresight to administrative tasks—calendaring for productivity, documenting for clarity, and boost efficiency.

  • Continuous Improvement: In the heart of project orchestration, you will assist in refining our systems and processes, supporting a dynamic environment where your role is key to our continuous evolution and success.

Requirements and Evaluation Criteria:

  • Education & Experience: An Associate's degree in a relevant field, coupled with demonstrable expertise in contract administration, bookkeeping, and administrative expertise.

  • Data Management and Reporting Skills: Ability to manage data effectively, especially related to tracking and reporting on climate smart practices and commodity processing. This involves both the collection of relevant data and the ability to report on it in a meaningful way.

  • Tech Savviness: A whiz with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (extra kudos for Asana know-how!), and financial software like QuickBooks.

  • Detail Orientation: We are looking for someone with incredible attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.

Preference for the Following:

  • Agricultural Industry Familiarity: Knowledge of or interest in agriculture and climate action is a significant plus, as it allows for more authentic and informed communication about our projects and goals.

  • Contract Management in Diverse Environments: Proficiency in handling contracts that involve various aspects of agricultural production, processing, and marketing. The candidate should be skilled in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts that are multifaceted and involve different sectors.
